I am reading a cool book at the moment called Spud! It was written by a South African and has certainly captured the imagination of the population. The book takes about truly Saffa culture and the little quirks that go with living in my playground.

Fully loaded with bikes and boats, I headed up the hill yesterday to Abert Falls Dam with my Varsity Collge team for the Final race of the Jeep Apparel MultiSport Series. I missed the first race of the Jeep Multisport Series, well not going to miss the second this weekend.

Let me put this straight, I am no runner and I am no biker but these are simply the funnest events ever, they are very achievable for anyone. Check out the info at www.maxcluer.com and get the the family to Shongweni on Sunday!

Good friend Ewan Cochran has started up an amazing little business called the Jeep Multisport School. The main focus is on Multi Kids, a group of kids from 9-13. With Multisport growing at such an alarming rate its amazing to see Ewan getting the little dood involved. Good on YA!

I am current speechless and in aw of my experience yesterday at the HP Urban Rage. Sorry if I seam out there in this blog but I am super pumped up about this event and how much fun it was.  

I did the paddle leg for a 3 man Jeep team (Carl Storm ran and Matt Goetsch biked and I paddled) at the triple Challenge today. We got a clap by a superstar team from Mr Price, finishing 2^nd some 15min back. Good friend and favourite for the race Dan Hugo (www.dghugo.com) cleaned up, he paddled my awesome Legend on the paddle leg. Sounds like he is going to have a nice rest now after a long season. Brave is what I would call me deciding at the last minute to race the second race of this iconic multisport series on Shongweni’s notoriously hilly course. My partner who was to race the 2 man teams with fell ill with flu and so decide to lift the game. 

I won’t lie, waking up on Sunday for the trek up the hill was no easy. Shoulders and lower back were sore to say the least but there is no way I was going to miss the best organised series in the world. Max Cluer does an awesome job in putting on the series with probably the best family environment I have seen at a sorting event.
