Went into town this morning to meet the media the Beach Café (bay of plenty). The course for the race was announced and some interviews done.

 

We will be paddling the Grand Pre Relay Race on Saturday at 10am at DUC and the main race from DUC to Westbrook starting at 8am. If you keen on coming to watch the finish of the main race the etc for the leaders will be 1h50min so we come check it out at just before 10am.

 

 It was great to see two manufactures/boat builders sponsoring the race in Epic and Fenn Kayaks. Shows the growth of the industry and is great for the sport. I strong showing was also made by the city of Durban. Durban is the best pace to paddle in the world and the city is backing the race. Its awesome to see them getting involved!

 

I have been driving a sponsored car this week from Jeep. They have given me the new Laredo with has been quite a treat and I massive upgrade on my budget student car. They even had the car branded up with my sponsors Jeep Apparel, Varsity College and Garmin. Am dreading giving it back next week, could get used to driving such an amazing car!
