An old friend I haven’t seen in some time, Neil Cunninghame (national sprinter in years gone by) gave me a ring last week out the blue. He asked if I could come into the Tech and get tested on a paddling ergo.
Neil is doing his research topic for his Chiropractic degree on the different effects off three different manipulations can make on ones paddling. I had to do an 8 min warm up and 2 x 200m sprints. Neil manipulated my neck before the second 200m interval. It was really cool to see the awesome software he had got from Europe which measures the max watt (power), speed and 200m time.
There are some really big names signed up for testing including world champion Ant Stott and Shaun Rubenstein. I am really excited to see the results which will probably be out in January next year. Good luck with the rest of your testing Neil.
