4am – Another early start, getting used to them and only hit snooze once.
530am – Almost lost my phone. Put it down when pulling the wetsuit up and forgot it. Lucky to find it in the road some half hour later using some car lights. Admin when your mind is on riding not cool.
6am - Delayed launch with Mark missing some of his testing kit. At least I am not the only one.
730am - Hit the water for day 3

Amazing to be on the water today. Sweet riding in some of the cleanest water I have ever seen. Wind came up Northerly a bit with 1 bumpy section but managed to hide close to shore and average some amazing speeds. Everyone were super strong today and the formation of 2 groups helped with staying out of each others wake.
The scenery was unreal. We stopped to fill a fuel tank at a ship wreck called the Jolly Rabino. I really think this will be one of the days we will all remember the most from the trip.
230pm - Solid afternoon shut eye. Catching up on to many early mornings
5pm - Function at the Zululand Yacht Club with the local Cansa branch here in Richards Bay. Great to have my parents come up for the evening to hang out.
830pm - Supper at the Richards Hotel with team and some family.
930pm Mixing Juice for tomorrow Lance and Zulu talking about the solid head wind predicted, going to be an epic. |
