I had 5 minutes this evening driving home from a terrible movie this evening to assess the last weeks progress if you can call it that. It’s been 10 days since I moved out of home into my new digs. I am enjoying most, missing mom’s cooking of course but all in all a good move. I think I landed my ass in the butter at my new spot.
Prep for Hawaii has been stepped up the last 2 weeks. I now have less than 4 weeks to got before I fly via Atlanta to Honolulu for the Molokai race. Body is kicking nicely to the training and I am getting more and more motivated as I see my Garmin 305 telling me good things this last week. With work I have been doing some early mornings to get the training in, which is hammering my sleep. Eish and do I love to sleep.
Looking back over the last 10 days the highlight would certainly be an insightful evening on Friday. On a nice high from winning the ski race I called up my best mate Rus and we met for some grub. We made some calls and managed to get a table at Marco Paulo.
Marco Paulo has just been opened in Mt Edgecombe. We were really lucky to get a seat as it have been booked for weeks. I am good friends with Paul Sheppard, one of the owners and he had a no show that we could fill. Rus and I Spent an amazing evening talking life, surfing, racing, girls, work, you name it. The food was world class! I can say no more than their food is an experience one has to taste to believe.
If you looking for a great place to treat yourself or someone else believe me book a table and you won’t be disappointed. Their passion for food is just amazing. |
