After a shocker weeks training I was quite stoked to sit on the coach on Saturday for the afternoon off when I suddenly realised I had 20 mates coming over to the digs for a braai. It hadn’t sunk in yet that it was my birthday as I had to coach that morning and the though of hosting so many people scared me a little.
All the planning I had done started rushing back into my mind which calmed me down. I had called in the cavalry on Friday, my amazing mother was doing most of the cooking and I had to do was light the fires and throw the meet on. A sense of calm came back and I lay back on the coach to enjoy the last 10min of the rugby game on TV. Thanks mom for the awesome food! You da legend.
People rolled into the digs through the afternoon and lazed on the beach, braai some meet, talked war stories and of course had a couple beers. Nice and relaxed, just the way I like it. Thanks to all my awesome mates that pulled in. Shot for coming.
I was really tempted t take on the party in town but with a big training session looming the next day I hit the sack in await of the SW wind that was predicted the next day.
