I wasn't planning on paddling the dolphin coast but two days before the race Hank McGregor gave me a ring asking me to fill the back seat of his boat. San Francisco – Durban paddler Barry Lewin won the US national double ski title with Tahitian star Lewis Laughlin, ending his month long international tour on a high note.

The last bit of racing on my 5 week overseas trip ended on a high note as i managed to pull off 2 wins on the final day of racing at the USA surfski champs in San Francisco yesterday. I arrived in Dublin on Thursday and was lucky to hook up with fellow South Africans Herman Chalupsky and Dave Reese who had offered me a couch to sleep on for my 4 day stay in Dublin.
